Modi launches the first phase of Hyderabad Metro
- The 30 km-long first phase of the metro rail project between Miyapur and Nagole will have 24 stations. PM Modi and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao took a short ride on the Metro along with other dignitaries.
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday inaugurated the first phase of Hyderabad Metro and also took a ride from Miyapur to Kukatpally.
- This stretch of the largest metro project in the world in Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode will be thrown open for commercial operations from Wednesday(29-11-2017).
- The 30 km-long stretch from Nagole to Miyapur has 24 stations covering several busy clusters and city landmarks, including the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Osmania University, Secunderabad Railway Station and major commercial hubs like Begumpet and Ameerpet.
