Mysore Royal Wedding - Mysore Maharaja ties knot with Princess Trishika Kumari

The Maharaja of Mysore in South India, Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, has married princess Trishika Kumari in a traditional ceremony at the royal palace. Ms.Kumari is daughter of Maharaja of Dungarpur in Northern state of Rajasthan. Bankable sources said that both of them knew each other for a long time.

More than 1000 guests attended the wedding and this also includes Karnataka state Chief Minister K Siddaramaiah. 2500 guests were invited for the reception. The Royal family also participated in some century old Wedding tradition at Mysore Palace. Yaduveer (24) was crowned the new Maharaja of Mysore after the death of his grand uncle Maharaja Srikantadatta Narasimharaja Wadiyar.

Srikantadatta Wadiyar, who died in December 2013 adopted Yaduveeer Gopalraj to ensure the continuity. His grand aunt said, "This is a typical South Indian Mysorean wedding. We had a small pooja for the bride before the wedding began.

Girls adapt to certain traditions of the boy's family. M.Lakshminarayana who is the CEO of Mysore palace never commented on the cost of the wedding. On behalf of Team APHerald, We wish the couple a happy marital life!
